United States and Canada Act Jointly to Combat Cross-Border Crime

Secretary Napolitano and Canadian Minister of Public Safety the Honorable Peter Van Loan signed an agreement to make Shiprider—joint law enforcement teams stationed along the international maritime border—permanent after touring port operations on both sides of the shared U.S./Canada border on May 26, 2009.
