Secretary Napolitano will travel to the United Arab Emirates on May 31-June 1, at the invitation of UAE Minister of the Economy Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, to meet with her counterparts from the Middle East region and officials from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to discuss ways to bolster global aviation security.

Secretary Napolitano announced the elimination of the paper arrival/departure form (Form I-94W) for authorized travelers from nations participating in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), streamlining secure travel for millions of visitors to the United States every year by consolidating the collection of traveler information and enhancing security by automatically providing DHS with important passenger information prior to departure.

Secretary Napolitano will visit Nashville, Tennessee, and the surrounding area to meet with Governor Phil Bredesen and federal, state and local officials to discuss the impact of historic flooding resulting from severe weather, and view firsthand the response and recovery efforts ongoing in the state. President Obama has declared a major disaster for Tennessee, and FEMA personnel are on the ground in support of the state’s response and recovery efforts.
